The Windows Eleven Thing

LOL - I moved from Windows 7 when Windows 8 was released. Never looked back. If it wasn't for the fact that both my backup desktop and main laptop aren't 11 compatible, the only PC running Windows 10 would be my 2014 Asus laptop. And I rarely use it.

Regarding Windows 7 (Ultimate), I actually liked it. But then again, I'm one who builds a new PC every 4 years so hardware (and software) so hardware is always up to date. And the reason my current rig was compatible when 11 released.

But for me, once a new OS goes RTM, I dump the old and move to the new and never look back :-)
I also moved from Windows 7 x64 Ultimate to Windows 8 within less than 2 weeks after Windows 8 was officially released, as that's when I bought a new laptop (i3 3110M) that came with Windows 8 Home OEM, and that was a replacement for my 1st laptop (Core 2 Duo T5800), the latter originally had Vista on it. But, when Windows 10 was officially released I stayed on Windows 8.1 for another 2 years and a half, i.e. till I retired my new Asus R510L laptop (i7 4510U) with another new laptop (i5 7200U). I could have upgraded the Asus from 8.1 to 10 for free, but then, I never actually felt the need to do so. Contrary to Windows 7, Windows 8.1 had an official (and documented by Microsoft) registry setting to permanently disable (and I also verfied that it was permanent, which, as a matter of true fact, it was...) any and all nags about the free upgrade. This alone was reason enough to prefer Windows 8.1 over Windows 7. lol That plus the fact that it took Microsoft way more than a whole year to iron out most of Windows 10 wrinkles, the reason why I know this being, that I had to fix my dad's computer at least a dozen times exactly because of it of course. My favorite wrinkle was when Windows Update had suddenly killed internet access on millions of Windows 10 devices, I can imagine all the best skilled cyber attackers across the globe must have been jealous AF about this back then. lmao

How do you get it to show UTC time as well, that would be helpful for ham radio stuff
Go into the Time and Date settings and Add another clock in Additional clocks section.
When I was in the Navy and the career I retired from had to work across time zones.
