When I try to open Chrome, I get this message.

I'm not sure if it's connected, but it happened after I tried to make my Chrome window open to full screen.

I have tried some Google advice to no avail.

I can open if I put the requested site name in the top URL space, but I prefer the search window that's normally in the middle of my Chrome screen

You can try resetting Chrome’s settings by going to Settings, then Reset and clean up, and selecting Restore settings to their original defaults. This will reset the start page and other settings without deleting your bookmarks or passwords. It seems like your Chrome new tab page might be misconfigured, especially since this started after going full screen.

Switch to Firefox, OP. I'm hearing from Reddit and several other sites that Chrome is giving people a lot of problems lately.
