Thumbnail problems

I've lost some thumbnails. See images. Have run without success:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
Settings → System → Recovery → Fix problems using Windows Update

Would appreciate some other ideas. Of course, I do have backups to use if needed, but these things are excuses to learn.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Thanks. Tried all of these without success. I've also tried the classic restarting Windows Explorer in Task Master. No luck there either.

Well, friends, I needed my computer back, so I installed a two-day-old backup, which brought me to the promised land.

I had accidentally installed a one-day-old backup that did not solve the problem, and for two minutes I contemplated how aberrant software could impress on hardware. That didn't last long, but the trip was fun.
