Thunderbird problem in Windows 11

I’m using Thunderbird Version 144.0.1 on my Windows 11 laptop and the only folders I have are Inbox and trash. On my Windows 10 laptop I’m using Thunderbird Version 140.4.0esr (both 64 bit) but on this laptop I have Inbox, Draft, Templates, Sent, Archive, deleted, Bulk Mail and Junk. In the Windows 10 laptop if I right click on my account name the subscribe is available. If I right click on my account name in the Windows 11 laptop subscribe is not there. Is this a problem caused by an update?

In advanced account settings on the Windows 11 laptop ‘Show only subscribed folders’ does not appear but it does in the Windows 10 laptop! How can I get these folders back in Windows 11?

144.0.1 isn't from the msstore is it? Missing folders is a known issue using that version.
Normally you can fix it by copying your profile from the windows 10 computer to 11 but the versions should be identical.

Good advice, it’s certainly what I would try.
Also, as Fish says, get rid of the MS store version, due to apparent issues..

Honestly I have no idea. I have just had to buy a new laptop after my HP Spectre 360 got destroyed by a back-up and I can't remember where I downloaded Thunderbird from. I'll certainly look into that though. On a side issue would you have any idea how to get my contacts into Thunderbird. I had a back-up file of my contacts, well most of them anyway, but it's a Wab file and Thunderbird won't accept it?

settings > account settings > synchronisation & storage

under message synchronisation is a button > Advanced

in that menu you will see each eMail account and the settings for all the folders you want displayed or updated.

Just checked that Steve, in my new laptop running Windows 11 there is no synchronisation & Storage at all. There is in my other laptop running Windows 10 and the earlier version of Thunderbird. I think the other guys are right and I need to delete this Thunderbird off my system and replace it with another.

Okay the problem was certainly with Thunderbird itself. I deleted it from my laptop and then downloaded it again from the Mozilla site itself and all is working again as it should. Just have to find a way to convert my contacts Wab file into something Thunderbird will accept now! Many thanks for all the help.
