When installing 24H2 from X-Lite, I just let the updates run, right after the install. This gets me any drivers or updates that I many need.
Then I turn auto updates OFF.
Any subsequent updates I may get, I get in an update Pack from X-Lite. That can update the Build numbers.
So far, never a problem with following that regimen. And, I don't have to deal with "Big Brother".
Any day that I can avoid dealing with 'Big Brother' is a good day in my life.

Sounds good. I'll just update from MS after Installing and won't worry about if there is something newer. I have Intel and use their driver updater and also HP for manufacturer updates. For my mouse 🖱 I have Logitech drivers.
