Title: Windows 11 keeps changing time zone every hour (after spoof time zone) + settings greyed out

I am experiencing an issue with time zone settings in Windows 11, likely after using a “spoof time zone” tool.

Problem:
The system keeps automatically changing the time zone (e.g. to Amsterdam) approximately every hour, even though it should be set to Prague.

What I have already tried:

• manually setting the time zone using tzutil /s "W. Europe Standard Time"
• syncing time via w32tm /resync
• verifying Windows Time service (W32Time is running)
• resetting registry keys under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation
• running gpupdate /force
• disabling “Set time zone automatically”
• disabling Location Service (lfsvc)

Current state:

• system time is correct and synced
• time zone can be set manually to Prague, but it changes again automatically
• the change occurs regularly (about every hour)
• both “Set time automatically” and “Set time zone automatically” are greyed out

Question:
What process or service could still be overriding the time zone even after disabling location services and automatic time zone?

How can I fully reset or clean the system so that:

• the time zone remains permanently set to Prague
• no automatic overrides occur
• standard Windows time settings (including automatic options) are fully functional again

What is the name of the program you used to spoof the time zone. My guess is that the program made a change that Windows can't undo. Knowing what program you used may help us to know what was changed and how to undo the change.

I used a browser extension called “Spoof Timezone”.

This extension modifies the timezone information reported by the browser to websites (for anti-fingerprinting purposes). It also has features like automatic timezone detection based on IP and an option to update the timezone on startup.

After using this extension, Windows 11 started changing the system time zone automatically (typically to Amsterdam) about every hour. The issue persists even after disabling location services, scheduled tasks, and manually setting the timezone via tzutil.

It seems that something triggered by this extension caused a persistent system-level behavior, even though the extension should normally only affect the browser.

I’m looking for a way to fully revert any changes so that the Windows system timezone remains permanently set to Prague and is no longer overridden.

If you have your computer set to use System Restore or use an imaging program you can try doing a restore point made before making the change. If not hopefully someone else may know what changes need to be undone.
