Okay here is what I have done:
(1) I go to the external hard drive inside the "Videos" folder for "Movies"
(2) I stay inside the main folder the first folder and select "view" then "Details" and then "(...)" to enter "Properties" area and then I click "Customize" and then I check "Also apply this template to ll subfolders" and then I click "restore Default" under "folder Picture" that is the only way "apply" button becomes usable. and then I hit "apply".
(3) But there is still a issue with doing this the newly opened folders still show the "Large Icons" not the "Details" which I find confusing and annoying. Can someone please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong please.

I think the program WinSetView would benefit you.

I just downloaded this for both my laptops the Windows 10 and the Windows 11 and just tried it on the Windows 11 and all the setting are golden right off the bat. I loved it thank you. I think this will become very hndy for me even on my older desktop running windows 10. I will put this on a flash drive and I will keep all the current settings. Thanks again.
