Trying to enable TPM 2.0

Still shows a .60 file. Should I go ahead and enter BIOS to attempt instant flash. I guess it should good to note that I don't have a recovery key and I have BitLocker disabled. Will I be able to re-enter my PC or be locked out?

Before we recommend the incorrect BIOS why don't you get CPU-Z and check the mainboard tab.

Get the Zip English version (it's the portable version).

This is what the other guy did to solve the problem with HIS AsRock board that wouldn't show TPM as enabled...

BIOS settings > Advanced tab > Trusted Computing > Security Device Support: set to "Enable"

Make sure AMD fTPM is set to Standard (or Enabled), and Secure Boot is enabled as well.


It's always best for security reasons to have the latest non-Beta BIOS.
But the TPM should work on any BIOS version.



You can check in Device Manager... to see if TPM is Enabled.

He may not have File Explorer set to show file extensions.


But he's right... I just downloaded the latest...it's called: X570TC5.60

That's what I thought. I just told a friend about the update to Windows 11, and he was on Windows 10 at the time like me, and he was able to easily go into BIOS, set to fTPM and Secure Boot and easily update to Windows 11, so not sure what I'm doing wrong
