Trying to enable TPM 2.0

That's what I did, but I'm worried to take it to BIOS and see if it works if the file isn't even extracting as a ROM file. Doesn't it have to be a ROM file not some random number?

That depends on the manufacturer. For ASUS it has to be a .CAP file.

Take your time with this. Make sure you understand the instructions.
Flashing the BIOS incorrectly can kill your motherboard.

From what I see all files on the site have .60 or .80 extension.
Put it on the USB and see what happens.
Manual says change extension to rom.
I've downloaded the manual.

It requires that the file be renamed to creative.rom to use the flashback function. I think that's not required to run "instant flash". (The manual is very weak on instant flash, though.)

As regards fTPM, looks like a straightforward on/off switch.

I'd try the Instant Flash.
If it can't find the file named as it is, go back into Windows and rename it as Creative.ROM and try again.

Also, you should plug the USB stick with the BIOS file, into one of the motherboard USB connectors.
Don't use the ones on the case, when flashing the BIOS.

TPM 2 is for new PCs and will install automatically. WIN 10 no. Check your motherboard, you may not even have the TPM module on it.
How do i check if I don't have the module?

The instructions are here:

Why you keep asking for a .rom file i don't know.
Put the file that you downloaded in the usb in fat32 format go in bios with f2
Select the Instant Flash utility under [Tool] menu to execute it

simple as that
even after following the steps and selecing instant flash in bios. it gives me a message saying no image file was detected

MAJOR UPDATE:

updated bios and everything worked great. Turns out I didn't have to rename the file or anything and just downloaded, unzipped, put it in USB file, and instant flash worked. now just gotta re-enable fTPM AMD Switch and Secure Boot and should be able to update to Windows 11. If anything goes wrong I'll ask here. But I appreciate all your help fellas!

mine don't look like that
I know. I couldn't find a pic online that shows the TPM is recognized in that same menu for the X570 Taichi. The 1st pic below shows how to get to this menu, the 2nd one is where you can set the Security Device Support option to enabled. Instead of "No Security Device Found" it should show something similar to what's in the pic you quoted in your reply. My apologies if I wasn't being clear enough.

So basically, after you have enabled the fTPM AMD Switch like you said, you need to save your changes and exit the BIOS so the computer will reboot, and, when it does, immediately go in the BIOS again before Windows starts. (If you're too late and it starts Windows, you'll need to wait till it becomes possible [in Windows] to manually choose to restart the computer again.) Then when you're in the BIOS again, navigate to the menu (Advanced > Trusted Computing). There you can enable Security Device Support. (If this option is disabled, Windows cannot see the TPM.)

Also remember the Steam Community post that I earlier linked. Specifically, the part about also disabling (Ultra) Fast Boot and what happens to the TPM if you don't (see my post #72 above). Even if you don't play Call of Duty, choosing to disable (Ultra) Fast Boot sounds like it might be an excellent idea still nevertheless.

Change extension to .ROM
He should leave the extension as it is. That's the version. The BIOS flash utility will recognize it and load it.
