Trying to keep Copilot and other apps uninstalled

Every time I removed Copilot, Feedback Hub, News, Quick Assist, Web Search from Bing, and Xbox Live apps in Windows 11 24H2 Pro, either these automatically install back over time or when one or more updates installed in Windows 11.

I have no use for AI Copilot and other apps that I remove and like to keep them removed.

Seems like Microsoft is starting to control over the installed apps and not allowing them to remain uninstalled.

Anyone else experiencing the same?

It helps to use REVO Uninstaller when uninstalling Apps. Use REVO's "scan" for leftovers tool and remove all that stuff. With all the leftovers removed, it's harder for the uninstalled App to tell MS it's been uninstalled.
Then use the tutorial below to Disable app updates as well...



And then just to make sure nothing comes back I have Bitdefender's firewall set to... "block all", unless I specifically allow something to call home or whatever.





After the three prong approach listed above, I haven't had any of the stuff I removed, come back...

To add, we only get a License to use Windows so there will be times things get set back to the defaults and we get to do adjustments accordingly, save the procedures that were used.

one of the major reasons i dislike MS is they keep changing my settings back to their defaults
i dont want any AI on my system but MS will make it a condition that it must be installed
so if MS wont leave my system alone i will leave MS alone, simples.

i have now in virtual box Debian Testing which is looking more likely will be installed.

I forgot about re-installing REVO Uninstaller as I had been using it before I had to reload Windows 11 several times. Installed REVO. Thanks for the reminder.

I'll take a look at this as it may be helpful.

I read elsewhere that Microsoft is now starting to control various apps and configurations where users can no longer modify these settings, including registry edits.

Microsoft is wanting everyone to buy these AI Copilot computers and they are not really that good. I have talked to people that uses them, people that bought them and returned them, and others that bought those more expensive devices finding that the NPU is useless for their usage. This just provides Microsoft more control over Windows configurations and your data. I only use Windows because of my career. Otherwise I would use Linux, and hopefully in a few or so years, I will no longer need to use Windows.

I've been using Microsoft products from when they started and you could also modify settings and use it how you want to use it. Over the years, Microsoft has progressed away from creating an operating system for users. Instead they are data-mining and controlling everyone's Windows systems and data.

If anyone actually reads Microsoft's EULA, they would never use a computer. I read it several times over the years and it is comical. Even Microsoft violates its own EULA.
