Devices Turn On or Off Hide Pointer While Typing in Windows 11

Windows hides the mouse pointer by default while typing to ensure the pointer doesn't block your view of the text you're typing.

This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off hide pointer while typing for your account in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The Hide pointer while typing setting and others are saved together in the UserPreferencesMask binary value in the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop location for the current user.

It is up to the app to honor this Hide pointer while typing setting, so this setting may not be supported by all apps.

Here's How:

1 Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click/tap on the Mouse icon.

2 Click/tap on the Pointer Options tab. (see screenshot below)

3 Check (on - default) or uncheck (off) Hide pointer while typing under Visibility for what you want.

4 Click/tap on OK.

5 You can now close the Control Panel if you like.

That's it,

My pointer options are set to hide when typing. Is there a way to stop palm brushes moving the cursor when typing?
It's already on low sensitivity. This problem does not occur in Notepad, or here. Perhaps it's just the way some websites are set up.
