Open command prompt and type ping www.google.com Press the enter key.

Open command prompt and type ping 127.0.0.1 Press the enter key.

Check whether you get a reply.

With attached batch script, you can reset TCP/IP protocol suite, hopefully this will help resolved the problem.

It looks like the problem is with the site you are trying to access, you can still reset TCP/IP to see connection problem resolves.

You should also reset Hosts file using attached batch script.

I too have this problem frequently when trying to access my router page. None of the browsers on my laptop can connect (same error as above), while those on mobile devices connect without problems.

Have you reset the TCP/IP suite?

Have you followed the instructions at the given link?

Yes I did followed those instructions.
I also reset the TCP/Ip suite using the batch file you uploaded.
still I can't access or ping local ips in windows 11 but can easily do both in Ubuntu

My laptop doesn't have an Ethernet port, I did try booting into safe mode with networking but I don't think wifi will work in safe mode with networking.
Let me try again.

clean boot did the trick, but how do I know which startup item was interfering?

Good, you have to enable those disabled services and startup programs one at a time and reboot your computer to find out if the last enabled service or startup program causing the connection problem.

I don't think it is any startup item that is responsible.

In my case, the problem happens randomly, i.e. I would be able to login to my router initially, but after sometime it would no longer work. This has nothing to do with the programs or services that start at boot because this problem happens randomly, many hours since the pc was booted.
