Solved Unable to activate Windows 11

I bought the pro upgrade directly from MS. I have no idea why it was the Enterprise version. In fact they didn't even send me a key, It just updated.

I hope you didn't try any weird activation utility or script. That would explain changing the version to Enterprise by choosing the wrong options. In theory you can upgrade directly from Home to any higher version replacing the key with the respective generic key. Legally activating higher versions than Pro is another story. Higher versions than Pro are meant for businesses, not individuals and require special agreement with Microsoft to obtain a genuine key.

I'm not sure if your reply was to me or someone else but I'll go ahead and reply. I updated my computer from Home to Pro through Windows settings. This took me to the MS store where I chose to purchase the Pro upgrade. Windows did its thing and when it finished my computer was running the Enterprise version. Knowing that this was wrong and I wanted my computer running a legit version of windows I checked my email and I did get an email from MS about the upgrade but it didn't include a key for any version of Windows. Even logging into my MS account only showed my purchase but just like my email there was no key listed. That's when I decided to contact MS and explain what happened. The tech acted like it was no big deal and gave me the generic key and told me to enter it and my Windows version would switch to the Pro build. The computer has been running an activated version of Windows Pro ever since. Almost forgot. I did try rebooting my computer two or three times to see if it would switch to Win 11 Pro.
