Unable to find Convert table to text"

Should be simple but ...
I have looked carefully along all the options in the menu bar, tried the MS and Google search suggestions
Layout Tab - Data - Convert to text
but I can't find Data, never mind Convert to text.

How do I convert a table to text in Windows 11 and Word 365?

I have Noticed that if you highlight the text in the table table tools and table design appear in the ribbon, is this any help or click the symbol on the top right of the table

Not sure exactly what you are asking, but you can select the table, and put on clipboard.
Then paste unformatted text on a new line.

@cereberus There one was an option called table to text which appears not to be available anymore, all searches on the net refer to the older versions

This must be a function (or non-function) of Windows 11. I have converted table to text and text to table many a time in the past, but this is the first time I've tried since upgrading? to 11.

Thanks Cereberus - that worked. Maybe 25 years of using Word and I had never used that. Just Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V!

I hope it comes back - it was simpler and quicker than Cereberus' solution. Is that new? Having always used Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V before I wouldn't know.

Windows has nothing to do with it. It's all part of Word.

I think the crucial instruction is the first one here, applicable to all versions of Word from Word 2007 up to Word for Microsoft 365:

I rather dispute you could do it much quicker than cut and paste - I can do that inside 2 seconds.

I find it easier just to move the mouse and click, still we all have our favourite ways of doing things. It was also good to find the feature

Depends where the 'Table' originated from...
I would think Select All>Copy>Paste to be the easiest...

Thank you all for your comments. Just to tidy up - Cereberus, I perhaps should not have said quicker. I accept there is probably nothing in it between the two methods. I should have said that after using one system for possibly 30 years or more, it was quicker for me to continue doing so rather than get in the habit of using another one!
Thanks Bree for taking the trouble to get the screenshots that show what I was looking for - but that is what I was looking for and could not find.
I am pleased to see that (for once) it wasn't me! Thanks The-Hive for confirming that.

I think I've been using the Ctrl-C/V since the days of the Tandy TRS 80 Model 1!

Not sure about MOS20 - what's that?. A colleague and I wrote a system for GPs (UK doctors) based on the TRS80 using LDOS. Written in a mix of BASIC and Assembler.
