Unable to launch Google Calendar

I'm in the UK.

First thing every morning, I launch Google Calendar from a bookmark:

- Google Calendar - Sign in to Access & Edit Your Schedule

But today, if I left-click on that bookmark, I arrive at the US calendar:

- Shareable Online Calendar and Scheduling - Google Calendar

I use NordVPN, which defaults to the UK. But as an experiment, I closed the VPN in Task Manager. I clicked on first bookmark above, and again arrived in the US.

I would be grateful for any advice.

on the second link, what happens if you replace "en-US" with "en-GB". does it open correctly?
