When I try to use the full context menu and paste a shortcut of a folder to my second monitor's desktop, it ends up on the desktop of my first monitor.
I use the Extend setting and have the Taskbar set to show on all displays. Working Ok for me.I think you want to use "Duplicate" these displays to do that.
If you use "Extend" then only the left monitor will have the icons and taskbar.
Nope. I have always used "extend these displays" because I have different icons on each monitor.
I'm not understanding way you need to use the Alt key. I can just drag and drop between my two monitors.FWIW, I finally discovered a better way. Hold down the Alt key and click and drag the folder, file, etc. to the second monitor's desktop.
Your way works but the way I described I can put it on the second monitor without having to move it from the first monitor.
