I'm on 24H2 26100.2454 and CU for 24H2 KB8048667 fails with install error 0x800f0922
Fixes tried:
Simple reboot
Update troubleshooter – couldn’t do anything - reboot
Enable all .NET 3.5 services - reboot
sfc /scannow and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - reboot
Failed every time at 35% on the part of install that runs after restart.
2 other computers in the house updated fine but they are 261100.2605
If somebody could shed some light I'd be grateful even if it's just to say “Leave it alone”.

Good luck on your surgery. I just had both eyes done in August. Each eye was done on a separate visit and only took 15 minutes. Now, all the cars on the road are more than just colored blobs. Pretty scary huh? Now, I can see everything clearly without glasses, for the first time in 35 years. I have a box of glasses that I will never use again.

I have 24H2 KB8048667 currently downloaded/installed but waiting for a reboot. I may do the reboot today. I will let you know how it goes.

Right that went well!! tried all sorts including the repair install but nothing changed still stalled during restart phase., the best I got was stalling at different percentages. The log file listed what had failed but I couldn't get it sorted. In the end - clean install. At least I get to review how the computer is set up. I don't really mind I enjoy setting up a PC.

I had severe myopia (-8 dipotres) and like you cars were blobs.

Unfortunately at -8, the range of a monofocal lens (only sort NHS do) meant I still need some correction.

I opted to be slightly short sighted at -2 dioptres which means I am able to read, use pcs etc and generally move around house without glasses.

I do need some distance glasses when out but no big deal as like many after cataracts, I am more light sensitive as artificial lenses do not have the natural filtering in natural lenses (which are actually slightly yellow).

At -2, I can still move around safely if I forget my glasses. I once broke my -8 glasses when I was out and I struggled to get home!

I invested in a decent pair of varifocals (don't buy cheap lenses) to correct distance but also photochromatic so they automatically darken in bright light.

I could have bought just distance but would have to take them off every time I want to read something e.g. when shopping.

I can see now better than when I was 7 years old. Pity I cannot fix my hearing as effectively LOL.

The one eye I've had done seems to work well although it's fighting a bit with the other which is being done today, I looked at my phone today with my "new" eye and at the right distance the clarity and focus is stunning, Distance is good too (without glasses) nice and clear but the close up which is not with the right dioptre is amazing. I'll get tested for reading glasses when the eyes have settled appointment in January sometime. I'll find out today.
