update not installing

Just to make sure I've got thing right,I'm running Win11 Version 26H2 OS Build 26300.9457

Had a few updates show up today,one d/l and installed fine,one won't it is 2026-10 Security Update (KB5127648) gives a error of 0x80070017

The other update that installed just if needed for info is
KB5127694

Checking through update history and this one seems to have failed a few times tried on the 15th,17th,19th and the 24th,everything else seems to be working fine,anyone else got issues with this one update?

I just wanted to add,I've tried the troubleshooter for win updates,it asked to run update diagnostics,which it then said failed to run,system seems to be running fine,apart from this one update.

I've manually downloaded, with no issues! the update, ran the package,it got part way through installing only to give a popup saying that update was not installed.

Check the drive and the Windows component store for errors before you download the update again. Run these in Terminal (Admin), one at a time:

FWIW the latest OOB update supersedes (and includes) this, although only relevant in particular to some whose issue it addresses.

I have had some issues with updates lately. The last two batch of updates had an update that would continuously fail. All of the other updates would install and be ready for a reboot. My fix was to postpone updates for 1 week and then reboot. A few days later I would resume the updates, and the failing update would work fine. Not a big deal, just a little annoying.

Update history shows,KB5127694 NET installed 28the (today) fine, BUT this one has tried on the 15th,17th,19th and the 24th,not got the time to try anythign else mch atm,but will do so when I am able.
