Download the ISO for the build you want from UUPDump.

Mount the ISO and run Setup to start an in-place upgrade. If you are attempting to upgrade an unsupported device (as is likely if you were kicked out of the Insiders program) then you'll need to use a workaround to bypass the compatibility checks. See my post #254 here:

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

Kicked out was probably the case. The Ryzen 71800X in your System One's specs is not on the list of Windows 11 supported AMD processors.

It doesn't work. . It still says Incompatible CPU and yes, I did delete the .dll file.

I get the message "We're having trouble determining if your PC can run Windows 11. Please close setup and try again.
So apparently, they have patched the work around. I was trying to upgrade to Windows 11 Insider Preview 22567.1

When did you delete the dll? Timing is important. Must be right after first Windows 11 install screen is shown.

Now open notepad and save a blank file...name it AppraiserRes.dll

Then when your update starts coming in at around 7% goto C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources folder and overwrite AppraiserRes.dll with the blank one (do not just delete it) Windows does a check for that file now & it will not continue if it's missing. I do this every update...no tpm...no secure boot...works every time.

I wait for the first Windows 11 update/install window to be shown, then I delete C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\AppraiserRes.dll. Install continues from there without a problem and so far all updates also install without problem.

I just did this yesterday afternoon.

Huh, yeah i used to just delete it during update but a few Dev builds ago that stopped working for me, i found if you just corrupt the file and leave it tho it would work.

This error occurs when I want to upgrade Windows 11 21H2 Build 22000.1042 to the new Windows 11 22H2.
Thank you for your guidance

oops, mised out a space - that was meant to read 'Ryzen 7 1800X'

Yeah, I was gonna say, a Ryzen 71800X should be good for Windows 20 or something. :-)
