I got the following message when I re-booted my device earlier -

I HAD NOT -
  • checked for updates in 'Settings => Windows Update'
  • changed anything in 'Turn Windows Features On / Off'
  • applied any OEM updates to my device
  • found any new entries in 'Update History'
Can anyone shed any light on this event?

Perfectly normal occurance if updates had downloaded and installed but you had not booted or restarted since. This was update Tuesday week.
Depending on what advanced options you have set for windows updates there would have been an icon in the tasktray with a red dot on it telling you that you needed to restart for the updates to apply.

I manually ran the 'Patch Tuesday' updates immediately after they were released; they all completed successfully including the necessary re-boots.

Yes I've seen this a coupl;e of times recently. Searched update history, reliability monitor etc, and could not find out what changed.

I actually meant 24H2 checkpoint cumulative updates. But I’ve never seen that message before.
And I don’t know if there is a page one can see if any were pushed.

I've seen one of the messages before, they've tended to show up if Windows Update has updated something like a driver. Haven't seen it lately though possibly because I've a Group Policy running stopping WU from tampering with drivers on my PC.
