updating schedule

Hello. Over the last few months when I'm watching YouTube and Ultimate Guitar for chords, my computer freezes up right in the middle of my session. I thought I set time for updating for in the morning, but this is happening in the afternoon. Not sure what's up. Thanks for any help. And I now can't find the page where I set update timing

Setting the "Active Hours" will just keep the computer from restarting, within that period.
It won't stop the update from downloading and installing.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options.

These settings need looking at:
Notify me when a restart is required > On.
Active hours.
Delivery Optimisation > Download options > ...adjust to suit.
