Windows 11 Home 23H2

I have Open-shell 4.4.191 and ExplorerPatcher installed.

I have a problem with the taskbar. Instead of the icons showing I have writing next to the icon that is open. I just want to see the icon.

I'm finding the fan is constantly running at a high speed (not full speed). It never did that before. The fan only sped up usually when watching a 4k youtube video.

Can I remove the battery icon in the bottom right-hand corner?

Also, with the bottom right-hand corner, icons that used to show (Ditto, Windows Security) are now not showing, but they are in "show hidden icons". How do I make them visible continuously?

Just click and drag each one to the notification bar. They’ll stay there.

That was easy enough. I also removed the battery icon from the taskbar.

I now just have the one problem with words next to the icon that is open (as shown in the image above).
Anyone have any idea how to remove these words and just have the icon showing?

I have no idea why you have words for just the two, but I’d try Settings > Taskbar settings, and make sure your icons only setting is set.

I have the words only with open apps.

Right Click on your Taskbar and select Taskbar Settings. Now look for Taskbar behaviors. Look at the bottom 2, Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels. You can change the behavior here.

I'm a computer enthusiast so have quite a few systems that I run. More like an advanced hobby.

I've set it to "Always". Is that the correct setting?
I'm guessing that I will have to restart my laptop for this to take effect as nothing has changed so far?
