USB device not recognized

In Device Management [right-click of Start] go to the Universal Serial Bus controllers section, expand it, find which port, right-click and Disable. May take some experimenting to get the one desired. SuperSpeed is USB 3, the blue-centered ports. USB 2 is the black-centered ports. On many Notebooks and maybe other devices the trident symbol used for USB will have an added SS for USB 3.
