USB disconnects after installing KB5074109

I don't let my computer sleep at all, it only turns the monitor off. Ive had too many issues with it not waking up properly.
My PC has been on continuously (except for servicing and when I go on vacation) for 20 years.
Sleep. under Windows 11, has mostly been OK for me. I do have an app or so that sometimes doesn't wake up right, but overall not too bad.

Thanks for letting us know about USB selective suspend; I never heard of it and I get USB disconnects on my external drives from time to time for no apparent reason. I just disabled it.

I do a full shutdown, every time I'm done using the computer for a while. It only takes about 8 seconds from power button to working desktop, and most of that time could be eliminated at post by turning off secure boot. The chances of waking the computer to find an unwanted drive-by download has just broken my system are reduced by 100% with this method.
