Hi! Whomever can help, I just built this machine and considering the build and its only my second one, this is the only thing I can't seem to figure out. In my Device manager one one of the USB Controllers, "Generic SuperSpeed USB HUB" is getting an error with Code (10). So far, what I've tried is Unisntalling and reinstalling the driver, enabling and disabling, I have Driver Easy software, so I tried that to find the correct driver if it was incorrect. With the lighting that I have in the system, I did have to install a 9 pin USB Splitter that is powered with a Sata power cable and I tried putting that HUB on its own PCI Sata cable thinking I had too many connections to it. I'm kinda at a loss right now on what else to try?

If this helps at all too.... This looks like a more generic USB ...

And I have these installed. I'm wondering if this is a power issue? Too many Sata connections into one PCI cable?

You could try disable USB selective suspend. This feature normally allows Windows to suspend an individual USB port, when it has become idle for a while, and thus save a little bit of power. It could be that this feature is the source of conflict with the Hub device.

To disable Selective Suspend
1. Start typing "power plan" in the Window's Search box, then select "Edit Power Plan" from the list.
2. Click on "Change advanced power settings"
3. Click "USB Settings" to expand. Then click "USB Selective suspend settings" to expand that.
4. CLick on "Enabled" and change it to Disabled.
5. Click OK to apply the change.

Another alternative would be to look into buying a PCIe to SATA expansion card for your machine. A two port device should cost about the same as your COMeap cable, plus it will derive power from the PCIe bus rather than USB.

Thanks! So, I do have selective suspend turned off already. And I looked into the PCI card that you mentioned. I don't think that will help, but lemme explain and please correct me if I'm thinking wrong. So.. I "think" maybe it's because of how many sata connections with fans I got going on? I have 2 SATA to PCI cables filled going into the PSU, and just yesterday I put another one in an me dedicated that hub just to it. The card that you mentioned isn't 15 pin... And in don't have and hard drives plugged in.... They're both m.2.

It's it def a power issue or driver issue?

I would concentrate on devices connected to the USB Hub. SATA not connected to USB should not be an issue. We still do not yet know if it is power or driver issue. Since you have already tried re-installing driver and Selective Suspend is already disabled, then it looks like a power issue.
To help us determine which it is, disconnect everything from the USB Hub and leave the USB Hub connected. Then check if errors are generated. Then after that, add one SATA to USB connection to the Hub, and see if you get any errors.
