Just notice a issue with my wireless logitech mouse if I move the receiver to any other usb port on the desktop the mouse does not work

Perhaps moving the connection requires alteration to or reinstallation of your LogiTech management software / driver.
Their software used to be called SetPoint but it's now several years since I last had any of their mice.

Logitech mice using the unifying receiver are driverless. They are pure plug and play. I suspect there is issues with the ports or with Windows itself.
If the mouse uses some other dongle then I have no clue, but all my mice use the unifying receiver and I can HOT plug and play on all computers I have at home with no issues.

This may or may not apply to you. I have used Logitech wireless mice for year. I do not use Logitech software. I also have a Logitech keyboard but it is wired. I had mouse problems for months after I got a new system. Here are things I discovered.

If you are using a hub with your mouse receiver I found that Logitech mice do not play well with an unpowered hub. This is especially true if you use an unpowered hub plugged into a usb 3.0 port and have other devices plugged into that hub, such as an external drive. Using a powered hub usually fixes this. I also found that these mice work better when plugged into USB 2.0 ports (if one is available which is not the case for newer laptops)

Despite advertising that their wireless mice work over 30 feet away from the receiver, it is not true that they will work WELL if there is interference from other usb devices or obstacles. I have 3 computers on my desk that are sometimes on at the same time with multiple usb devices plugged into all 3. I took a usb extension cable, ran it from the port on my main computer and taped it to the edge of my monitor to use for the mouse receiver. Once I got the receiver closer to the mouse and away from interference, I've had no issues since.

My mice are all Bluetooth, but, my MX KeysS has to connect with a Bolt receiver or it won't remain configured! 🤷‍♂️

Hey, I know. In Aug to Oct I reinstalled my system several times. The system would just start not responding to the mouse.
No MS icons would work, network, sound, start menu, etc. The only way to get them to work again was to "Ctl-alt-delete" and start TaskManager. The third time I reinstalled, I got out an old BlueTooth mouse and have not had any problems since. I then used LogiOptions and a old receiver to reconnect the the newer mouse. I never would have thought a faulty receiver would cause all the problems I had then.

NO. It depends on the the model of mouse.
Only if your mouse is Logitech and uses a unifying receiver can its receiver can be replaced with another Logitch unifying receiver. Non-Unifying Logitech mice cannot pair with a unifying receiver.

Other brands as well as cheaper Logitech ones are singley programmed by the manufacturer to be used only with the receiver it came with.
You can tell if your Logitech mouse uses a unifying receiver identified by a small orange star/starburst logo on the USB dongle.

What model receiver do you have? I have the following:
Logitech Unifying Receivers: C-U0007, C-U0012. Allows up to six compatible Logitech mice and keyboards at a time
Logitech Non-Unifying Nano Receiver: C-U0010. Limited to one device at a time (may allow re-pairing to different device)

The C-U0007 unifying receivers came with various individual mice or keyboard/mouse combos.
The C-U0012 unifying receivers came packaged individually
The C-U0010 non-unifying receivers came with individual mice purchased recently (M310 mice)

Thanks ... I definitely have the non-unifying type. As I recall it came with the mouse. But, shouldn't that run ONLY my mouse, since I have disable the trackpad? I have been messing around with it and it's better (marginally), but I generally still have to Cntrl+Alt+Delete and then cancel in order to do anything. I've been getting more done by using the keyboard rather than using the mouse, but it takes me quite a bit longer ...

Forgive me, but didn't you state in a previous post that your mouse has a selector for BT1,BT2 & 2.4 which would indicate a BT mouse and not a USB mouse?
Or Am I reading this wrong?

If it is bluetooth it also should have came with a unifying receiver.
I had to replace the receiver to get my mouse to work again on the USB.
Right now I'm using the bluetooth. M720 mouse.

I have to have the receiver because bluetooth doesn't work at boot.
My mouse has three buttons, 1,2,and three,
#1 is to the receiver the other two are bluetooth for my Win 7 and Win 10.
I leave the receiver plugged all the time so I can just push a button to change channels.
