Use laptop without having to login password

I have a Dell Vostro laptop with Windows 11

Turning it on the first time, I had to create a password and a pin. (That is, I couldn't figure out how to avoid that.)

I live alone. There is no "confidential" information on the laptop, like bank numbers, No one else is likely ever to touch this laptop,

Is there a way to set this laptop so that all I need to do is turn it on.

No password or pin required. Just open the device, click Start, then Power ON

You could use netplwiz to automatically sign in to your account at startup like in option 1 of the tutorial below.

My solution was to get Win11 installed, required Microsoft Account then once everything was working I created a new User, Local Account with Admin rights, different User name by at least one character difference and no password. Rebooted into the new User and removed the original User, no issues but I don't have much need of the Store and its log-in or other things like Teams, etc.

That works, and is probably the simplest way to get a local account with no password. There are ways to bypass the MS account requirement at setup, and if you upgraded to 11 from 10 that had just local accounts you didn't get force to switch to an MS account.

If you need to it is still possible to use Teams, OneDrive, the Store and other MS apps with a local account that has no password. You can retain the local account and add the MS account to it, but only to be used by apps.
