Does anybody know how to kill the useless "Get Started" app which uses resources?

You can open a command prompt and type the following:

Batch: 
tasklist *get*

Look for the one labeled: 8828 ApplicationFrameWindow ApplicationFrameHost Get Started

The number may be different on your system. Take that number and type the following:
Batch: 
taskkill /PID 8828

Replace the number with what yours says

Try the Settings app, Notifications section, right at the bottom is additional settings, turn off all those should stop the get help/ started stuff from running.

I use it to start my day. Every morning I use the Get Started App and then I have my first cup of coffee. It's also good for getting over a hangover.

Thanks but was more looking for a solution to stop it starting in first place. If I cannot, I will see if I can create a batch file run from Task Scheduler.

I know I could put you on my ignore list for "being a nuisance" my friend, but I would lose all the fun of your posts LOL.

What we need is a "sin bin" function which warns you about being a nuisance. It would not stop you posting but each post would blow a giant raspberry at you LOL.

PS only kidding of course before I start war.
