User Interface (two years later)

Microsoft normally release a "new" version that works almost the same but has a different GUI to justify it as "new".
After decades knowing how to use Microsoft Office, they decided to change the GUI. The Excel works the same on spreadsheets and Word work the same as document editor, but I still miss the old Office GUI.
The Start Menu is from Win 95. Why change something that everyone knew how to use?
Why do we have to install Open Shell, Explorer Patcher, Start 10 or what ever so we fill comfortable with the "new" software? Why Microsoft doesn't offer these as an option?
Why Microsoft doesn't have on their "new software" options to look and work like before?

I always considered myself as an early adopter. So always felt comfortable with every Windows since Windows 95. The only Windows I didn't like was Windows 8. When I got my first laptop it came with 4 GB of RAM and 64bit Vista in 2009, so I never had issues with it. So with Windows 11 I feel good

Yeah, I like it. My only bitch is that too many of the tweaks I need to make it lean and mean are hidden way under the covers. And we really need a comprehensive "no Bing" button.

I really was an early adopter of Windows 95. I installed Windows 95 Beta in March 1995 which was 7 months before it was released. Windows 95 Beta had a lot of bug but I still liked it better than Windows for Workgroups 3.11. Unfortunately, one bug was that it didn't hide resolutions that the monitor wasn't capable of. I learned the hard way after I blew my monitor.

I'll second that motion for a "no Bing" button! Also a motion to add a "no Edge" button to go with it.

I've used edge with Bing for the last 2 years. I like both.

I'm totally fine with its performance, but I have to use ExplorerPatcher. Quick Launch and the Toolbars are essential for me to have. I tried to not use it, and get accustomed to the W11 ways, but it's really not conducive to the level of productivity I need to have.
