Using Chris Titus utility with existing install

Is this possible? Any limitations or restrictions?

I just checked out the Powershell version. Very impressive.

EDIT: Sorry if this question sounds noobish. I don't want to screw up an existing install, because I have so many installed programs, tweaked settings, etc.

I suggest taking an image of your drives, using something like macrium reflect or a similar program. Then you could experiment as much as you like. If something goes sour, just restore your backup images and everything will be as it was.

Chris Titus tool is a bit aggressive, it removes so many things, you are never sure what works or doesn't, after. Do it at your own risk, but like @jimminy said earlier, please create an image with macrium reflect and experiment.
i have not found much improvement anyway.

1. safer to use
2. provide real improvement

Or is this like the times when driver updater programs or registry optimization were popular discussion topics?

You can select each thing you want it to do, hover over now has descriptions of most things.
Been using it for a few years now, you most definitely can muck up your system by not reading about what each thing does.

You could just use a portable version of free Revo uninstaller and remove programs that you don't need ?

Actually I have the paid version of Revo.

I know about Chris Titus Utilty because I read about it in different places. If it can be dangerous, why isn't that mentioned?

The docs do recommend making a restore point first. A backup is probably a better idea, but a restore point is at least something.

A lot (or all?) of the tweaks have undo, which is pretty nice.

The essential tweaks are pretty safe. The advanced tweaks have a big ol' CAUTION next to the header. For those, you should understand what you're getting into. For example, if you're going to use "Disable IPv6" versus "Prefer IPv4 over IPv6," you should know why one is perfectly fine and the other is a silly thing to do to yourself.
