Using Xbox Gamebar, my microphone is moving when not talking.

Muting my mic, applying a 100% noise gate, and even unplugging my mic doesn't fix the problem. I still see my microphone moving. I use a few programs for microphone settings (LGHub, Voicemeeter, and VoiceMod). I disabled all settings in LGHub, and disabled my VoiceMod entirely and input still comes through.

I can only think this is from formatting on my voice input but I can't think of anything to try.

If you search for and load Device Manager, there is a section at the top with all the audio inputs and outputs. Find the microphone and disable it. This should work.

I don't want to disable my microphone. I want to stop my microphone from moving when there is no input coming into it.

No sound comes from the microphone when it shows input coming through on the gamebar overlay.

Check your system for a secondary microphone (common on some laptops) as that may be what's detecting the noise. If it's a desktop and there isn't a second mic, I have no clue.

If you have any external microphone plugged in and it doesn't make good contact, then it has electronic noise, and that it what you see.

There is no second mic, sadly.

My only guess is that it is electronic noise. Question is, can I do anything to stop it? Like moving wires around, or seperating them to see if that's the cause? Or would electronic noise only be from within the cable?

Electronic noise is usually due to faulty connectors or cables. If you can replace the cable it should fix.
