Always worked for me great on any device. and with any settings MBR or GPT, NTFS or exFAT all in different configurations during last 5 years at least. At the moment using it on USB-A and USB-C NVMe USB enclosure with 256GB MVMe in it, with GPT and exFAT. Loads of ISOs, general storage for install files of software, and also using VHD plugin to boot my pre installed VHD of my win 11 already set up with everything i want, basically clone of my main system, so i can boot it on anything.... Not sure where problem is but i have been using it for years on both Intel and AMD machines.

That's good. I've been trying on Intel and AMD machines. Got lucky on an AMD laptop once but can't get it to work again.

May be some issue with usb drive itself. Have you tried different one?

Tried different ports, flash drives, external SSDs - bah won't waste anymore time on it.

Thats weird. I never encountered any issues apart from VHD file not booting on my main machine and booting on other ones.

Just for closure this is the rest of my adventure.

On another AMD laptop I formatted the drive to exFat and unplugged it. Opened ventoy then plugged the drive in and it showed up. Copied the isos successfully.

So next step was to boot to the ventoy drive. That's when secure boot had a hissy fit. The beginning of my troubles started when I disabled Secure boot.

So disabled SB and I could use the .isos. Shut down and removed the drive then booted to Bios and enabled Secure Boot again.

My password was ok but PIN and fingerprint reader wasn't available nor could they be set up again. Restored to an earlier image and through a lot of faffing about fixed finger print reader and Pin. All the sites I'd set up to log in with the FR had to be set up again. That's the last time I disable Secure Boot.

...and Ventoy is binned - never to darken any of my Comps again! :mad:

Try disabling Secure Boot to use Ventoy.

As for CrystalDiskInfo, you first need to create WinPE with ADK. Open boot.wim with 7-Zip. Now copy or drag CdiResource & DiskInfo64.exe to Program Files. Next use Notepad to create a file: Winpeshl.ini
[Launch App]
AppPath = “%ProgramFiles%\DiskInfo64.exe”
Put the Winpeshl.ini file in Windows\System32.

Copy your edited WinPE to Ventoy. It should work.

If Ventoy doesn’t work for you try Yumi (Your Ultimate Multi-boot Installer.

It has a nice-looking interface.

Not sure if Yumi will make any difference as its using ventoys bootloader.

I would try a smaller disk (32 GB). No harm trying.

Yes, Yumi is using the Ventoy Bootloader. So in theory, it is the same as Ventoy.

I know how frustrating it is when something doesn't work for you.
Ventoy fails on some PCs due to BIOS/UEFI conflicts (MBR vs. GPT), Secure Boot settings and even hardware incompatibility.
