Video card stops working if computer sits too long

I have a custom built computer with a RX 590 graphics card. I've had this issue with it for over 5 years now. Basically the video feed will stop and not come back. While this has had several variations over the years, the current iteration of this problem is as follows: computer starts and runs fine, eventually the screen will go dark for a second or two, it comes back on its own, then after like 5 minutes it drops and doesn't come back necessitating a restart.

What is insidious about this problem is that it only starts doing it after the computer goes unused for a while. I usually resolve it by taking the computer apart and changing something in it. Then it works again until it starts doing it again. Things that have fixed it include changing the processor, the power supply, RAM, etc. Most recently I decided to change almost everything (motherboard, ram, processor) and it worked for 10 months without issue. Then I stopped using the computer for 3 months, and, sure enough, as soon as I turned it on again, same issue.

Couple of things. I know it's the video card because I will play music on it and I can still hear it after the video drops. I've redone the thermal pads on the card within the last year (when I rebuilt the machine last). I've tried things like retorquing the mounting screws and changing the electrical connector. All screen saver and timeout settings are off. It has done this same thing in two separate buildings and its hooked up to a UPS.

I do plan on getting a new video card but I'd like to understand what is going on with this first so I don't wind up having the same problem with the new card. While I understand this card is going to die at some point, it makes me think there is some other issue here besides the card since I can do something unrelated and get another year or two out of it everytime. However, due to his many hardware iterations this problem has occurred, I doubt it is due to some other component (ie. PSU, CPU, motherboard, RAM).

Is there something functionaI I should check? The circuit in my house? Should I prop up the card? Some BS setting in Windows? Ground something? HDMI cable?

Windows 11 (latest build, I can't check it right now)
Ryzen 7 9700x
32 gb ddr5 RAM
800 Watt PSU
RX590 (Red Dragon? or something)

Check your temperatuires on the GPU. Radeon cards have a tendency to overheat as the fan never spins fast enough. I had this problem with my old RX580s. I had to set the fan curves manually or else the card would go dark on me requiring a reboot.

I complained to AMD, but I am not sure it was noticed. At least they haven't done anything as far as I can tell.

It's probably a heat issue.

Make sure the vid card has no dust in it.
And look into MSI Afterburner to control the GPU fan speed(s).

I believe that CPU has integrated Radeon graphics. Seems to me you could isolate the issue down to the graphics card by seeing if the same issue happens when using iGPU.
