Visual Basic - Does it still exist ?????

I didn't install anything else. Just VB5 Pro to see if it still worked, since I used it a lot many years ago. I paid around AUD $900 for it back then! I also bought Dan Appleman's book and CD about the Win32 API.

For that price do you think you actually bought Visual Studio 6.0 Professional which came with: Visual Basic 6.0, Visual C++ 6.0, Visual J++ 6.0 (for Java), Visual FoxPro 6.0 (database), and Visual InterDev 6.0 (web development).

I already had the following:
  • The Fast Track for C++ Development: Microsoft Visual C++ version 4.0
  • Sam's Teach Yourself Visual Basic 5 in 21 days
I was going to school and working at the time. I bought Visual Basic 6.0 & Visual C++ 6.0 at the college bookstore to help me learn them because that was what I was using at work.

I can't remember now. It's in a box somewhere in my garage, which I can't access unless I rearrange everything. It came with two big thick books inside. The packaging was something like four inches thick from front to back.
