If you like options and customizing then Vivaldi is definitely the browser for you. The settings menu alone is huge and can seem a bit intimidating at first. I was a loyal Firefox user for years and still keep it as my prime backup browser. I took to the Vivaldi layout when I tried it and liked the little expandable/retractable sidebar, the automatic ad/tracker blocking with no third party extension needed, the little closed tab history icon that made it easy to review and restore previously browsed items, the built in language translator, free email address (like I needed another email), and other little perks. It became my main browser, then Firefox, Chrome and Edge in that order. Of course Edge has a large user base because it's the default built in browser and many people just don't like to experiment and set up a third party browser. Anyhow, it preforms well for me and meets all my needs as well as any of the others so once again just a matter of personal preference.

I was an early adopter of the original Opera browser when it became a free browser. I searched for browsers to be an ultimate replacement for when Opera went Chrome including Pale Moon, and Otter. When Vivaldi came out in 2016, being from the Co Founder and CEO of Opera, I started using it. It soon became my default browser and while I have Opera, Edge, Pale Moon, and Cent browsers as well, Vivaldi is used 99% of the time

You can use Bing Chat in Vivaldi since the previous version and it fits nicely in a Web Panel. ;-)
Vivaldi has had Tiled Tabs for years. Already back when Edge was still built on Microsoft's own browser engine. :D

Cutting Windows 7 support is unfortunate, but every OS version is going to be discontinued at some point.


Also, there were comments about market share. Trusting those numbers is tricky, because many smaller players have to disguise their user agent and usually get reported as Chrome. We wrote about it on our blog once. If you're interested, you can read it here.
