I have the mic volume muted in my windows volume mixer. When I reboot the machine, it goes back to full volume. I don't want to hear the output of the mic. It's a mic for the security camera, for recording, it's plugged into the built in soundcard on the motherboard, as are the speakers. But my volume mixer is allowing it straight through to the speakers after each reboot, which is irritating.

Is there a way to make it save this setting? Or a way to make it a recording device, but not a play straight through to the speakers device?
