I have noticed that on some occasions after waking the computer from sleep that the volume tray icon is displayed as muted or sometimes 0%.
I have updated to the latest Realtek DCH UAD drivers from the Microsoft Catalog, but it still happens from time to time. Not a big issue, but worth noting.
I think it is only cosmetic. It didn't happen with Windows 10.

I had the manufacture's driver and I was getting that problem, so I tried using the later one from the Microsoft Catalog and getting the same results.

So, you're getting it too. I think it's a GUI bug.

If MS wants to release Windows 11 by the holidays, they need to concentrate more on the bugs. Like I said in another post. These cumulative updates are almost worthless.

Yes, I can confirm that it's just the tray icon displaying incorrectly.

last win11 and issue is not solved
You're right, Romagnolo1973.
It's still not fixed.

I wouldn't hold my breath. I see that someone else has created a new report about it again a couple of days ago.
There are numerous reports about it. Some of them have hundreds of replies and upvotes.

There are still a few bugs that I've reported that have never been addressed.
I think they are only concerned about getting it released as soon as possible.

Yeah, this happens to me as well. I keep forgetting to report it. Perhaps I'll remember this time!

I'm getting the cross mark now more than the muted icon.
I was under the impression that the fix would be included in update 22000.258, but it's still happening for me.

Maybe MS is just trying to do something common among other OS cosmetics?
Same with Linux, and yeah pretty much. Just like their "new" task switch/multi-desktop feature they claim is a "first ever", has actually been in KDE/Gnome for literal years already. They've taken a lot of design features that have been a stable in mobile OS'es for a while too.

Also having the issue with the tray icon displaying improperly. Installing manufacturer drivers had no effect. Only application I've noticed to have any issue with it is Discord. Mute/Unmute to resolve it. Slightly annoying, but only takes a second to fix.
