Happened today and within the last two weeks, and at least a few times before that. Been on this Home W11 since about May 1st. How the ____ can W11 lose something this simple?! Running ver 23H2, build 22631.3737. Ran a search: no results.

Are you saying that if you have set a time for your screen saver to start (for example; something like after 15 minutes of inactivity) sometimes it doesn’t start?

Sorry but your description of the issue is kind of all over the place 🙏

Question: when the screensaver refuses to start at the set interval, have you checked if something is running in the background that might be causing this, or something plugged into your USB ports?

I would suggest you do a test: Set the screensaver for 5 minutes, when it doesn't start after 5 min, about another 5 to 10min minutes after it was supposed to start, check your “Device Manager” for anything that looks active that might be causing the failure to start the screensaver.

Have you tried looking for running programs that may affect the screensaver starting, as I suggested?
