I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, and even though I never had one, it's a shame that Windows Phone left the market. If it was still available today, I may even have one.

My Palm Treo 700WX came with Windows Mobile. I paid $349 back in 2007. Loved it because it had a built-in stylus.

Got another Windows phone after that one (don't remember the model or brand) and after that moved to Samsung and haven't used another brand since.

That's a nice looking phone.
I'm just thinking that maybe Microsoft shouldn't have called their phone operating system "Windows". Phones don't really have windows.

I used a Lollipop phone for years, 'cause I'm not big on phones.
I do most of my work on computers.

Yeah, but I hardly think that's what killed the OS off. If I remember, Microsoft wasn't really moving a lot of mobile phones than, and well, there's no need to jump back in now as Android and IOS have the market covered there.

I'm a Microsoft fan, and they'd have to have a serious phone OS to even move me from an Android phone; and especially since a lot of their apps are fully functional on Android devices anyway.

They'd have to offer something no one has, but everyone wants in order to compete with both Android and IOS in the phone market.

90 percent of my work is done on my desktop PC, but having a smartphone is also allows me to work on the go as well. And I can access my PC from it if need. I certainly couldn't be without a smartphone today.

I can't believe the frenzy that's happening over this device. Let's face it, they're not phones anymore.

This South Korean company has done well for itself since they started selling cheap televisions.

I don't see "frenzy", I do see some talking about the release and whether some feel it's warranted or not. And I certainly said I was skipping this release being I just got my S23 Ultra. Thus far only one person in this entire thread indicated they bought one, so...

And yes, they're not "just" phones anymore. they're mini-PCs with the ability to make and receive calls - Smartphones.

Their TVs are also pretty good. I now have 3 Samsung TVs, and with their Samsungs SmartThings App, they can all be controlled via my Samsung phone

No! Nothing bad happened yet. I even still waiting for it to arrive next week.

What I meant was that with all the fun-flare about it, we don't know exactly how good/bad it will be.
For me particularly, I think it will be just fine because there is no way, I will be using it on it's full capacity.

The buying was good (still a lot money), but apart from the normal discount, Samsung trowed in for me a case and a triple wireless charge for free.

So, for start I guess it wasn't bad!

Well, that's is the true, I didn't!

But on this thread and on Samsung web page states that the release date is set to January 17th and on Samsung.com states that the delivery is set to January 31st.
