Watch XBOX at Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 17

 XBOX Wire:

As XBOX marks 25 years of play, we’re pleased to commemorate over 20 years of XBOX in Japan. To celebrate the players, developers, and creators who have been part of the journey, XBOX will be at Tokyo Game Show with a special broadcast, a show floor presence that includes Minecraft Dungeons II, and XBOX FanFest.

The creativity from Japan and broader Asia, alongside the games inspired by the region, has helped shape XBOX for over two decades. The number of developers and publishing partners we work with across Japan continues to grow, reflecting the region’s importance to XBOX. We’re proud to work with the studios pushing genres forward and the players and creators who keep building alongside us through every milestone.

Join us on Thursday, September 17 at 7:00pm JST (3am Pacific / 6am Eastern / 11am UK) for the XBOX Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast on our official XBOX channels to see an exciting lineup of games coming to the platform this year. Hosted by Misuzu Araki, this year’s broadcast includes TGS-exclusive content, new gameplay and moments built specifically for this stage. Our annual Tokyo Game Show broadcast is proof of what is possible when creativity from across the region meets a truly global platform and XBOX is committed to being the stage where new and beloved franchises reach players around the world.

It’s one thing to hear about it, another to play it. Here’s what’s waiting on the show floor for those in Tokyo:
  • Minecraft Dungeons II: Following its debut at gamescom, Minecraft Dungeons II arrives for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show show floor, giving fans in Japan their first hands-on look at the next installment of co-op dungeon crawler. Drop the pickaxe, grab a sword, and charge into a new adventure in Minecraft Dungeons II, available to play day one with Game Pass on September 29, 2026.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives at the Tokyo Game Show show floor with our partner Happinet, giving fans in Japan an opportunity to experience the game’s highly anticipated Multiplayer ahead of its global launch on October 23, 2026. Visitors can jump into the action and get hands-on with this year’s blockbuster game. Fans can also find Call of Duty featured alongside other XBOX titles at XBOX FanFest Tokyo. Find us in Hall 6, 06-N4.
There’s a familiar face back at Tokyo Game Show this year. In Japan, black cats are considered good luck – and ours has quietly become something of a mascot for XBOX at TGS. Where past years wove the cat through a neon-lit streetscape, 2026 puts it front and center: a solitary silhouette striding across an iconic Tokyo crossing beneath a green skyline, marking each step of XBOX’s 25-year journey as it leads the way into what’s next. Fans will soon get the chance to help name the lovable XBOX TGS cat – keep an eye on our social channels for details on how to vote!

Follow along with #TGS2026 and @XBOX_JP for the latest before, during, and after the show.
