Hi I was thinking about Chrome, Edge and Firefox. I wonder what extensions people are using to aid privacy, especially to block trackers etc but there are many different ones about these days for many different tasks. I use Malwarebytes Browser Guard and Norton Safe Web

@trevo thanks I have heard a lot of good things about uBlock I just don't want too many extensions doing the same job as I got MBG at the moment, do I need anything else I am wondering about.

I find with uBlock Origin I don't need anything else, as it says "Out of the box, uBO blocks ads, trackers, coin miners, popups, etc"
It's also light on resources and open-source.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

@davewin11 yeah, looks a bit much, as long as you are happy. I just don't want several extensions all doing the same job whilst one would do the same. I guess there isn't one individual one that will get everything

These. Most are self-explanatory. F.B. Purity is an extension that allows you to customize your FaceBook feed and filter out ads and other crap you don't want to see. Works pretty well.

Thanks @dbartenstein I am keeping MBG and still deciding if I need another extension at the moment it is a toss up between AdGuard and uBlock the latter had a lot of options in settings, not sure how to use a lot of them. I think I need to replace privacy possum
