When I said about them not bring that hard, margot took me maybe 10 goes or so, which might seem alot but I try not to follow builds or someone else's strategy( other than the absolute worst of dire straits, lol band pun by accident

) and come up with em myself. Jist feels like I'm playing my game as opposed to someone else's with they're builds etc. Not a bad idea to look over em and get an idea though. Yeah a normal xbox controller is the way to go, you get people who refuse to use one on a pc because they think a mouse and keyboard is always the best way. Well it ain't. Oooh the big lobster freaked me out, I did get it though, took a few heals though

. Have you came across the terrifyingly weird hand enemy with all the fingers?

I ran into a small wood , ran straight back out because wtf is that, who makes that an enemy

but still cool, haven't been back for it yet haha

Graphically, I was also referring to the era in which the game is set in which is sort of a drab gloomy place. So from that standpoint the graphics as is, even now still work considering the game's environment. But yeah, the game never was a graphical masterpiece like say Crisis

Each game shows a different perspective - the first one is about Corvo, the royal protector, the second one is about Daud, the assassin and why he did what he did, the third one is about Emily and you can play either her or Corvo as it tells the tale of the Outsider.

Yeah, I ran across the giant hands and little hands. I think I was over-leveled for it because it went down pretty easily for me. His ring will shoot a beam, so watch out for that. It's a pretty noticeable telegraph, though. It is kind of horrifying! I've not encountered Margot. I must not have roamed into that area yet.

I'm trying to stay away from the Elden Ring wiki because it has walkthroughs and all sorts of stuff. I might use it to see what something's weakness it, but I try to not even do that now.

I'm usually a keyboard person, but I can't imagine playing Elden Ring on it.

There lays the PC gaming issue... games are becoming more and more reliant on controllers than mouse & keyboard. I've not moved to a controller as I'm strictly a PC gamer using mouse and keyboard. Kind of sucks, but maybe it's time to invest in a controller

For some games, I find the controller greatly helps. Elden Ring is one of those games. It's worth the investment. There will always be games you can play using the mouse and keyboard, but those newer games are optimized for controllers.

Controllers are a must for some things for me. Playing Dying Light I cant use lock picks with KB and mouse, but controller is great for that. I played God of War with a controller, XBOX

I got "Devil Nay Cry 5" for free with my GPU purchase a few years back but never got past the first mission (and never played again) because the game was/is optimized for controller, so I understand what you're saying, but as long as I can get away with mouse and keyboard that's what I'll continue to use, until "forced" to invest in a controller.

The latest game for me was Cyberpunk 2077, and mouse and keyboard worked like a cham there, so yeah, some new games still play well with mouse/kb.

But I do get your point

This is yet another way Microsoft has screwed up PC gaming as they force game developers to optimize for game controller so their precious X-box sales isn't hurt

Cyberpunk is awesome. I also played that on keyboard and mouse without a problem. Devil May Cry 5 is definitely a controller game.

If I want to continue to enjoy playing games, I may be "forced" into one.

BTW which controller would you recommend for a PC?

I use an authentic XBox Core Bluetooth controller. I started with a generic XBox controller. The real thing makes a difference, in response time. It's a responsive controller that is comfortable in your hands. The control sticks and buttons are all laid out in an easy-to-reach manner. I like the cordless aspect of it. It wasn't as cheap as a corded XBox controller, though, but being untethered is nice.

Others might use something else. It might pay to see what they think.

Pretty much what you said is what I was thinking, especially cordless. Both my keyboard and mouse are cordless and have been for years. Can't remember the last time I used a wired keyboard and mouse. Probably somewhere around 2002

I still have that game. It had 4 disks...

I gave it a try when it came out but never got into as I was strictly a first-person shooter back then. Anyway, how'd it fair on your new hardware (new compared to when the game was released)?

Ooh man that's pretty epic! Well I originally had it on the original xbox so I didn't get it on pc! Was great as a kid on there, loved em both. On pc, the first one ran sweet, no issues or many bugs, only runs as 720p max though. Kotor 2 supports full 4k which is nice, had a bit of an ms issue with frametime but just limited to 60fps and turned on vsync and it sorted it thankfully. About 10 hours in now and loving it all over again!

Same here, only playing Spider Solitaire, FreeCell and Chess, can beat computer up to 6th level, afterwards difficult.
Am too old to play any other types of fast games !
