What is the icon in my tool bar and wan it be deleted. Previousre post seems to have beem deleted for some reason. Also the one to the left seems to be multipul desktops. Don't understand this. Can this be removed? Is there any point to it?

That looks like the OneDrive icon, you should be able to right-click it and Unpin. Just be sure it doesn't hold any data if you don't want to use it. I don't use it. There's Tutorials about it you can check.

It only looks like OneDrive because the current weather is cloudy. It's actually the Widget icon, and it has a red dot with 1 in it because there's an unread weather alert. Without an alert it shows the temperature and looks like this...

What happened to the age old, Right Click on a Taskbar Icon and then click on "UNPIN from Taskbar" ???
Or is that too complicated?

The one to the left 1710166079098.png is the Task View icon. That one cannot be removed. Click on it and you can instantly switch to any current window by clicking on the one you want.

Widgets, Task View, Start and Search are not pinned to the Taskbar, they are built in Taskbar functions and cannot be removed that way.

Ok thanks Got rid of Widgets and Task view. I also gt rid of copiolot that was on the right hand side. As for Task view (Desktop 1 / Desktop 2), this looks like my mobile phone when can have diffrent screens. But they seem to be the same. If I add a second desktop. The background picture is the same. All my shortcuts are the same. There is no diffrence between them. What am I looking for? Spot the diffrence?

With a second virtual desktop you can open different apps on each one. Can be useful sometimes when all your open apps on one desktop gets too crowded.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.
