What is the recommended location for Quick Access when using OneDrive

Hi, I currently have all my Quick Access (Desktop Download, Documents & Pictures) only local on my HDD :
- Desktop: C:\Users\<users>\Desktop
- Downloads: C:\Users\<users>\Downloads
- Documents: C:\Users\<users>\Documents
- Pictures: C:\Users\<users>\Pictures

What is the recommended to locate Quick Access (Desktop Download, Documents & Pictures) when using OneDrive ?

I moved my Documents and Pictures to OneDrive. My Downloads and Music to My D: drive. I left the Desktop on my C: drive. If your C: drive has a lot of free space you can leave everything where it is if you want. If you decide to move your folders there is a guide on the forum on how to move them.

Edit: Moving user library folders to different drive

Is there a Microsoft recommended way to have Documents and Pictures on OneDrive ?
There must be a recommended way because:
a/ Microsoft has to save the OneNote data you do on Microsoft cloud account.
b/ Microsoft is offering to save your camera photos automatically to your OneDrive account.

Quick access is different from onedrive
Quick access is just shortcuts to folder you'd use a lot.
Onedrive on the other hand is online backup plus access from really anywhere by going to onedrive.com and signing in

Just look there for how it's setup by default
Likely personal and another public for shared just like there is a public listing on navigation pane to share files/ folders with other users on the same computer.
I'm sure @Brink has lots of tutorials around to read for a lot more than my rudimentary descriptions :zany:

As for what's recommended to keep (back up) to OneDrive is a personal choice of what you want.

I know Quick Access are shortcuts while OneDrive is cloud files.
But when I look at my Documents folder I can see that a lot of files are being created by some applications I have installed :

When I set my 'Quick Access' Documents folder to C:\Users\<users>\OneDrive\Documents on a brand new Windows 11.
When installing Adobe, Microsoft Office, Czur or Dell drivers, does the installation of this application, automatically creates these folders inside C:\Users\<users>\Documents or inside C:\Users\<users>\OneDrive\Documents ?

Hi,
Well as I said before probably both location if you added the main Documents folder to onedrive sync instead of just subfolders inside of the documents folder.
If you don't want those other folders inside the documents folder on onedrive like dell/... you'd have to exclude them
Or remove all again and just right click the subfolders you want on onedrive and add just them and dell/... won't be auto added to onedrive.

I have 2 OneDrive accounts: a personal OneDrive account and a OneDrive business account.
