What is Windows 11 ADK and WinPE ADK ?

Hi

Someone from Microsoft site want me to install those two packages, I see the document but still dont understand what are they ? how they can solve update problem ?

If an update fails to install, you don't need Windows 11 ADK and WinPE ADK.

The programs mentioned are not intended for home users.

What are they supposed to do with it?

I dont know somone insist to make me install them and also I asked him why ? he dont replay other than install them. I am not home user I am a coder and I use VM.

KB5014668 wont install I get error 0x8000ffff (something unplanned happened, rolling back) update each time.

Some people have the problem.

Unfortunately, no one from the Microsoft Answers community has agreed to work with me to further analyze the issue.

I once asked someone to uninstall Malwarebytes and then use the Malwarebytes Support Tool to completely remove the program.


And then try to install the update again.

If it fails again, i need the log files from the CBS folder from the path: C:\Windows\logs.

Edit:
It must be related to Malwarebytes because everyone who has the error code mentioned also has Malwarebytes installed.

And I have a guess what it could be.

But I need more information.
