Solved What just happened. Three drives lost their names and Bitlocker status.

I was about to make a Macrium image and just quickly looked to see how much space I had. The view should have looked like this where you can see each drive in named and the Bitlocker status is showing on all drives (all are internal drives):



When I looked I saw this instead. All names gone and no Bitlocker on three drives. As mentioned these are all internal drives:



Only changes of note are that yesterday I updated Macrium to latest build and earlier today it was the latest W11 Cumulative and a restart. Whatever happened seemed to have occurred while just using PC normally. I've done a restart and all back to normal.

Possibly just 'one of things' but I'll keep a watch. Only other things I have done are some file transfers to Bitlocker encrypted flash drives but that was before lunch and it has been shut down and rebooted since then. Very odd.

It was probably just a temporary glitch that was reset with the restart. I've never had the problem you had. I have had more than my share of glitches that were fixed by doing a restart though.

I'm thinking that maybe the update froze before finishing and the restart was all it needed to finish.

I dunno what happened.

I did the update around 7am, restarted and all OK. I did run a disk clean after the restart. Then it was shut down until late morning, I know I used Macrium to delete some old backup files around then and at that point would have then looked at the space on the M partition on the second drive and that is when I noticed it didn't look right. Did the restart and all OK.

That's as best as I remember it. I always do a disk clean after an update restart (after giving it few minutes to run whatever it has to run).

Like you say, probably (hopefully) just one of those weird one off events. All is still good.
