And, they'll do it in a heartbeat without ever saving the first byte of data.

Double post because I found the true cause of this and it is NOT malware

It turned out to be my Corsair K100 keyboard.

Corsair K100 firmware confused as a keylogger

The firmware has a bug that triggers macros to record and replay at a later random time/interval acting as a key logging malware.

Oh My ! How would anyone know this ? Anyway glad that it is sorted !
Anyone with some sensitive information on the system would have gone bonkers thinking all the scenarios !
