I think you could negotiate a reduction on price with the seller, to have a full rewire, as well as a new fuse box. It doesn't look safe at all otherwise. However to negotiate that reduction you might need a survey that says it needs a wiring upgrade for safety/to meet current standards.

It probably comes down to money and hassle. Rewiring is a hassle and costs money - but could be worth it for more space long term - if you can get it at the right price. Assume you'd have a survey to say what needs doing?

Since I'm very much old enough (almost 87) to have had experience with older fuse boxes, I say, do not try to use older fuse boxes with computers, electric stoves, or refrigerators! You will have nothing but trouble with blowing fuses right and left!

But they’re only fuse boxes, it’s the wiring from behind that box that leads to the room that is important. If the fuse box doesn’t keep blowing fuses and the wiring is sound, there should be nothing wrong.
Never buy a home without having a building inspector check it first. If you have a 1 or three month settlement contract and you find that after an inspection the building isn’t sound, you can back out of the purchase. However I don’t know how it works in Poland.
