Seriously though, I let the browser remember the frequent ones, they're all throw-aways anyway..., the rest are simply written down in a book.

I prefer PasswordSafe because it is complete and safe.

I prefer to write down reminders, cryptic and personal enough so that only I know how to turn them into the real passwords.

I live alone, nobody ever comes here, and the place is a dump, so, nobody would even dream of breaking in!!!

I don't use those. I store my passwords in Google and then export them to an HTML File.

This is how I do it on One Note. I don't write down the entire password. Just a few letters and dashes in case someone gets into my phone. It is even categorized...

I have over 250 passwords written down, (somewhere!)..., and, I'd say, about 50% of them are for stupid sites or things I signed up for, and will probably never visit twice, but I wrote em down anyway!
My browser and my brain take care of the rest.

I guess it's because we all think we're using the best password manager.

I've tried most of them, and I think Enpass is way ahead of anything that I've tried. It's not on the list either.

As TraderGary mentioned, and he's 100% correct, LastPass only stores an encrypted value for your password in their database. All of the encryption and decryption happens on your local computer. The encryption key you are using locally is made up from your email address and your master password.

The key is that your master password is never actually sent to LastPass. Instead, a hash of your password is sent and stored at Last Pass. This is why you cannot lose your master password and why LastPass cannot provide you with your master password if you lose it. Without that master password, the values in last pass are just encrypted strings of non-sense. In the event of a databreach, that's all a hacker would get. Unless they also compromised your local computer at the same time and got your master password, this compromised data is 100% useless.

I received an email from ExpressVPN announcing they are about to add a password manager to their VPN. It will be free to ExpressVPN users.

I use KeePass 2 and Dashlane on my computer. I use KeePass 2 for Android on my phone.

Lastpass attracts hackers for some reason. And I'm big fan. I'll have to consider deleting my account when the family subscription expires.

Yeah, Lastpass is a big target. On the flip side, they always keep my passwords and whatnot safe, which is what I am using them. I don't necessarily trust that any other platform isn't being hacked on a regular basis, some may not even be aware it's happening.

Same here, except for Dashlane. Don´t know what it is.

The August hacker compromised an account of a Lastpass developer.
They accessed the development environment.
They were able to steal a portion of the source code and other proprietary data.
So now a person or persons have the source code of Lastpass which means Lastpass may have to redo all or portions of their code.

I don't think that's right. The source code won't allow the hacker to decode the passwords. I'm not bothered.
But banking passwords are all in my memory, nowhere else.

Do a more comprehensive estate planning too. If anything important is 'secured with passwords, 2FA, etc.' after you have moved on to a better place without further instructions, then your loved ones may not even be able to execute your will.
