Yeah I switched over couple years ago from paid AV. Haven't seen any infections from anything. At least not that I'm aware. My PC has mostly been running very well. But even with the paid AV, I haven't been infected with anything since my younger naive days, lol. Stick to legit websites with ad block and haven't had issues in decade or so.I'm ok with Defender only. Online safety is mostly about user behaviour, not blocking stuff. This is why experienced users often say they haven't seen any infections in years.
That threw me off for sec, lol. My real 1st name is Edwin. lol.Wanker!
Yes perfectly happy with Brain, Defender plus Malwarebytes Browser Guard. This is a really good argument for antimalware software. Defender is ok, but I think there are better options with more protections.
It seems the pros here might disagree with me.
Anyone fancy a poll? ------ Are you happy to use only MS Defender?
And, pray tell, how is Keepass any more secure than LP?Keepass I like to have full control of my password.
Ah, but how can you be sure that they have really gone? They may lurk on some dusty chip in Lastpass's memory!I permanently deleted my passwords & other artefacts from my lastpass account and have stopped using it. I've retained the account though. No more LP unless they get their act in order.
Is KP not cloud-based too?@kelper More secure because I keep it in an encrypted flash drive and not in a server that as far as LastPass is concerned has been hacked in the not too distant past.
Keepass is a very different model to LastPass and it's open source, I've been using it for years.LastPass can operate offline too, so I wonder why anyone would prefer KeyPass?
LP has withstood more attacks so it may be better.
Anyway, nobody is after my passwords as they don't protect any high value assets.
